LAHORE: Punjab’s Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has decided to reduce transport fares, and commodity prices to promptly pass on the benefits of a significant drop in petroleum prices directly to the people, ARY News reported. In a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi at the Chief Minister’s Office on Monday, a deadline of 48 hours was set for implementing price reductions. Additionally, the task of reducing transport fares by 10 percent was assigned, aligning them proportionally with the lowered petroleum prices. KARACHI: At least one woman dead and six others sustained injuries in a Grenade attack in Karachi’s Liyari, ARY News reported.  According to police officials, the incident occurred in Aagra Taj colony Lyari where unidentified assailants threw a hand grenade into a three-storey building. The police spokesperson said that the attack injured six people and they have been shifted to Civil Hospital. Furthermore, IG Sindh Riffat Mukhtar Raja has taken notice of the grenade attack and summoned a report from the SSP city. ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has suspended the registration of former army chief Pervez Musharraf late’s political party, All Pakistan Muslim League (APML), ARY News reported on Friday. The ECP suspended the registration of the APML – the political party founded by former army chief Pervez Musharraf late – in a case related to the intra-party elections and allotment of election symbol. Following the ECP’s decision, APML was removed from the political parties list. A 14-page written verdict was issued by a three-member bench headed by the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja today.
