ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday rejected the NAB request for remanding back the Al-Azizia Steel Mills reference to the accountability court, and decided to hear the appeal of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Quaid Nawaz Sharif on merit. The bench comprising Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb, which heard the PML-N leader’s appeal his conviction in the reference sought arguments from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on next date of hearing. Terror attack in Balochistan’s Sorab claims life of ADC Buledi

Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Revenue Hidayat Buledi lost his life in a militant attack that targeted the Sorab bazaar area in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district, where armed assailants targeted both a bank and government residences in a coordinated strike, ARY News reported. According to reports, the assailants looted the bank and set fire to the homes of state officials. During the attack, Assistant Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Revenue Hidayat Buledi embraced martyrdom while bravely resisting the terrorists. According to the spokesperson of the Balochistan government, the attack was a deliberate attempt to challenge the writ of the state. The spokesperson stated that the brave officer sacrificed his life while defending his homeland, setting a new example of courage. ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir on Thursday said the nation would neither forgive nor forget those who desecrated the memorials of martyrs and undermined their dignity and such behaviour would not be tolerated. The Army Chief made these remarks while addressing the families of the martyrs during his visit to the Police Lines here in connection with Pakistan Martyrs’ Reverence Day (Youm-e-Takreem-e-Shuhada-e-Pakistan), an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) news release said. The Army Chief addressed the families of the police martyrs along with the officers and jawans of the Islamabad Capital Territory Police.
